Lost Pit Bull in Hemet

March 18th, 2009

Bob Pratte of the Press Enterprise www.pe.com was kind enough to write an article for a friend and colleague of ours in Hemet, Ca., Lisa Valentine of Valentine Mobile Grooming. Lisa recently lost her beloved friend and pet “Ray” a brown and white American Pit Bull with an amazing story of rescue and recovery.

Joe and I have had the pleasure of spending time with Ray and think he’s really an exceptional dog. Lisa is currently conducting an blanketing search for Ray, who requires medication for sarcoptic mange and may at this moment be relapsing from the good health Lisa had worked hard to achieve for him.

Every mobile animal control officer has a special note and info about Ray at this moment, but so far with no luck finding him.

Ray is exceptionally friendly and will avoid a fight to go find a friendlier dog to play with, he is agility trained with a great disposition. His skin may look poor at this point as he will have been off his medication and special food for a week and half now. If anyone has any leads please contact us! There is a reward and good chance you will be written about in the paper.

Hi All: This is Lisa (Ray’s person)with a sighting update. I got another call today (3/18)reporting a sighting in the Valle Vista area along the riverbed. That is three people who have reported a dog matching Ray’s description in this same area running around with another “blonde/gold/yellow” dog. I went out there again (3rd time) and left some food around and if it is him, he will smell my scent and hopefully keep hanging around. I keep trying!

Hello yes Ray is home! He was found in another county and was successfully brought home due to the microchip he had implanted when he was a puppy. This is a wonderful example that microchipping your dog does work!
